Centipede are a two piece from Sydney, consisting of Tanith Sherman and Yaniv Finkelstein. Centipede found their beginnings in 2001, and have since released two EP's (PTB, Polar Lander) and their debut album (Save Your Cool Soul) as well as appearing on film soundtracks and remixing tracks for several renowned acts. Save Your Cool Soul was written and recorded by the band over an 18 month period in various lounge room and studio settings. Producer Tim Whitten (Powderfinger, Art Of Fighting, 78 Saab, Bluebottle Kiss etc) came on board for the final stages of the project to mix the album. The singles from the album all received a healthy spin on national and community radio. A wide range of Artists and musical stylings influence Centipede. From Depeche Mode, Bjork & Death Cab For Cutie to The Breeders, DJ Shadow, Sonic Youth and Boards Of Canada. Thus the Centipede sound is diverse. Save Your Cool Soul is simply like nothing you've heard. An enticing melting pot of pure pop, electronica, post rock, and what sound like moments from the soundtrack to the Atari games from years past.
